There really are two Australias emerging. There is the one of the mega brands which dominate the high street and with which most people are familiar. Then there is the less well known area of the smaller producers who in most ways take a more artisanal approach to grape growing and winemaking. Both play an important part in our market but we believe that the latter are increasingly beginning to shape a new Australian style. There are plenty of blockbusters out there but a growing number of producers are searching out cooler growing areas, reducing yields and reigning in the alcohol and oak to make a new breed of elegant food friendly wines with excellent natural acidity. We really believe we have some of the best proponents of this style in our range.
